Is Health Care in America As Market-Oriented As France's? Posted: 02 Apr 2012 10:39 PM PDT There's something that I haven't seen discussed and yet seems striking to me: how similar the French and U.S. healthcare systems are. On its face, this seems like a preposterous notion: whenever the two are mentioned together, it's to say that they're polar opposites. France has been called the best healthcare system in the world by the World Health Organization. Cissy Houston Says She's Grateful for "Cards and Checks" That Have Come In Posted: 02 Apr 2012 09:27 PM PDT Cissy is still grieving for her daughter, Whitney , but she gave an interview ? strangely? to Brenda Blackmon of Channel 9, WOR TV, here in . Well, New Jersey. In my half century on this planet, I have never understood what Channel 9 was for except an occasional Mets game.?? Hardly anyone watches their ... |

Pro Beach Volleyball Tour Sold! Posted: 02 Apr 2012 08:58 PM PDT Beach volleyball is in the headlines again. This time it?s not for the bikini mandate lifted for the London Summer Olympics, but for the sale of the Association of Volleyball Professionals. Donald Sun, a 37-year-old former computer tech exec, bought the tour Monday for a reported $2 million. ?This is not an investment,? Sun told ... |
