Render Unto Applebee's That Which Is Applebee's Posted: 01 Feb 2013 07:37 PM PST By now, you may have heard the story of the pastor who, confronted with an 18% service charge on her check at a St. Louis Applebee's (there were 10 people in her party, a tip is tacked on automatically for tables with six or more people), scratched it out and wrote a note to her server saying: "I give God 10% why do you get 18?" Another server then posted an image of the note to Reddit, where it went viral. The pastor was, of course, subjected to a viral online howl of outrage over her rude behavior.
