Indonesia militants killed in shootout - police source Posted: 09 Oct 2009 12:28 AM PDT JAKARTA (Reuters) - Two Indonesian militants wanted by police for their alleged role in hotel bombings in Jakarta in July have been killed in a shoot-out near the southern part of the capital, a police source and media reports said on Friday. The men were believed to be Syaifudin Djaelani, accused by police of recruiting the suicide bombers who blew themselves up at the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott hotels on July 17, and his brother Mohamad Syahrir, the police source, who took part, in the raid said. |
