Italian judges say Knox did not plan Kercher murder Posted: 04 Mar 2010 11:12 AM PST PERUGIA (Reuters) - The murder of British student Meredith Kercher by American Amanda Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend was not planned or motivated by hatred but the result of a crescendo of sexual violence, a court in Italy said on Thursday. The court, which in November sentenced Knox and Raffaele Sollecito to 26 and 25 years respectively, said in an explanation of its ruling the murder of 21-year-old Kercher was the result of a sexual assault which spiraled out of control. |
